Guitar Instructor/CLC Audio Club Faculty Advisor/Men’s Assistant Basketball Coach. Mark Lindquist studied classical guitar at Hamline University from 1990 to 1992 under renowned instructor Paul Pilsner and performer Kim Bloom. Following graduation with a degree in English, he worked as an award-winning composer, guitarist and producer in Duluth, MN. The home studio he built in 1998 along with his record label, Shaky Ray Records, has been recognized nationally as one of the pioneering nerve centers of the highly eclectic Minnesota Twin Ports music scene. Mark has engineered over 100 studio albums and various other audio/stage projects. Since 2005, his band The Little Black Books can be heard on college radio stations The Current, KUMD, KUWS, and KAXE. Additionally, he teaches ukulele and guitar at Bridge of Harmony and the Mark Munson School of Rock as well as working as a faculty advisor to the CLC Audio Club which released a compilation debut album in 2019. He recently joined the CLC Men’s Basketball team coaching staff and works as a clinic and summer basketball camp assistant director. He lives in Baxter, MN with his twin daughters Dorthea and Loretta and his wife Brandy Lindquist who works as an instructor in CLC’s English Department.
