Central Lakes College does not mail tuition statements. The act of registration is considered an acknowledgement on the part of the student that he/she will attend and pay for the registered courses. It is the responsibility of the student to review their account on-line and pay their bill in a timely manner, according to the due dates noted below.

COST PER CREDIT HOUR FOR THE 2011-2012 ACADEMIC YEAR
Fully online courses are assessed an additional $35.00 per credit hour.
Certain lab and technical courses may be charged a higher rate of tuition.
Additional fees may apply depending on the courses for which a student registers.

Central Lakes College charges in-state tuition to all students unless another state’s reciprocity agreement dictates otherwise.

FEE DESCRIPTIONS
Technology Fee - $10.00 per credit hour
Each student is charged this fee to support and maintain the computers, high tech equipment and other technology services provided on campus.
Student Activity Fee - $7.25 per credit hour
Students are required to pay this non-refundable fee to support student clubs and activities on campus. This fee allows students to attend CLC Theater productions and sporting events for free and participate in various other student activities at no charge.
Health Services Fee - $0.60 per credit hour
Students are required to pay this non-refundable fee to support a school nurse on campus. This fee allows students to stop by the nurse’s office for various health reasons free of charge. This fee is not charged for web-based courses.
Parking/Facility Access Fee - $2.50 per credit hour
The parking fee is charged to maintain the parking lots and sidewalks on campus. This fee is not charged for web-based courses.
Minnesota State College Student Association (MSCSA) Fee - $0.31 per credit hour
Students are required to pay this non-refundable fee to support the state student organization.
Special Course Fees
These fees vary by course and are charged to offset course related fees. Examples: individual music lessons, clinical insurance, uniforms, downhill skiing ski rental.

PAYMENT PLAN FEE
All students who have not paid their tuition and fees in full, by the 25th day of the semester are considered to be on the CLC internal payment plan and will be charged a $30 fee. This fee applies each semester. Students using the FACTS payment plan are not charged this fee.
LATE FEE
All students not paid in full by the end of the 13th week of the semester will be charged a $25 late fee.
DISHONORED CHECKS/NSF FEE
Checks will be considered NSF/dishonored after they have been presented to the bank twice and are returned to Central Lakes College unpaid due to non-sufficient funds, closed account, stop payment, etc. Dishonored checks will be backed out of the account to which they were deposited and the NSF fee will be charged. If the reversal of the receipt causes the account to become unpaid after the due date, applicable late charges will also be added to the account. The NSF fee is currently $30 and is subject to change without notice.
SENIOR CITIZEN COSTS
Persons 62 years of age and older may enroll in courses, on a space available basis, for an administrative fee of $20 per semester credit in lieu of tuition. Senior citizens are exempt from the student activity fee, but are required to pay all other applicable student fees. Senior citizens who audit a course do not pay the $20 administrative fee or student activity fee, but are still responsible for all other applicable fees.
LATE START/SHORT TERM REGISTRATION AND TUITION DUE DATE
For Students enrolled in a late start (beginning after the start of the semester) or short-term (less than 5 weeks in length) class, tuition is due (in full) the first day of class. Students may register for late start classes up to the first day of class.
MANAGEMENT PROGRAMS TUITION DUE DATE
Farm Business Management students may register for classes up to mid-term. Tuition and fees are due at the time of registration.
