The Raiders are well known for winning and having fun doing it! Coach Jane Peterson declares that while winning a lot of games is fun (2007 record 34-7, 2006 record 33-4, 2005 record 36-2) some of the biggest successes of the Raider Volleyball Program include the effort, the journey, and the relationships built while trying to accomplish a pretty lofty goal of being national champions.

Jane Peterson is in her 18th season as Central Lakes College volleyball head coach.
She is one of the most successful coaches in community college history. The overall record under Peterson’s reign is 435-165. She reached the 400-win career milestone Sept. 15, 2007 when the Raiders swept Anoka-Ramsey. Jane has coached 16 All Americans, has been state and region coach of the year numerous times and was awarded National Coach of the Year in 2000, 2001, and 2007 when her Raider teams captured national championships! Prior to winning the national title last year, CLC had been the national Consolation Champion four straight years. Jane grew up playing volleyball in La Jolla, Calif. She attend the College of William and Mary on a Division I scholarship and completed a master’s degree in Athletic Administration from St Cloud State University. She has coached in high schools in Wisconsin and Minnesota and served as an assistant at St Cloud State University before coming to Central Lakes College as a volleyball coach. Jane has also coached softball for CLC and served as athletic director.
