The CLC Vocal Music Department consists of two major performing groups, the Cantare Concert Chorale and the CLC Chamber Singers. Each group performs a variety of vocal styles such as Renaissance madrigals, jazz, classical, multicultural, folk and contemporary music.
The CLC choirs perform at many community and campus events and give several concerts per year. They have performed at events such as the Mn. Fine Arts Choral Festival, were featured guest choir with the Heartland Symphony Orchestra, and have sung at the Women's and Men's Honor Choir Festival at the College of St. Benedict.
They have the opportunity to participate in music workshops with world famous performing artists such as Metropolitan Opera singer, the late William Warfield; baritone singer Phillipe Mentor; soprano Linda Eder; and most recently the CLC Cultural Arts Series featured singing group, "The Rose Ensemble". Other CLC course offerings in vocal music are Voice Training Class and Private Voice Lessons.
