Theatre Facilities

The main auditorium (or proscenium theater) is called the John Chalberg Theatre. As of 2011, the Chalberg's chairs and multi-media equipment have been updated, and it currently seats up to 271 patrons. The theatre service space at Central Lakes College includes a well-equipped scene shop for preparing some elaborate and innovative sets. |

| The service space also includes a well-appointed, spacious dressing room area. |

The Black-Box theater is named the Bob Dryden Theatre. The Dryden has flexible staging and seats approximately 100, a capacity that varies from show to show. The space accommodates an intimate venue, whether a drama, musical, or Cultural Arts Series event. |

| Both of our venues - the Chalberg and the Dryden- are accessible to patrons with wheelchairs. Exact seating varies from event to event. Accommodations can be also made for vision, hearing, or other mobility needs. Please notify the Box Office at least 72 hours in advance to make arrangements.

Productions and presentations held in both the Chalberg and Dryden theatres are enhanced by high-end light-sound-special effects technology operated from booth or other off-stage control stations. |

The 4,500-sq.-ft. Music Rehearsal and Recital Hall, soundproof practice booths, remodeled small-group space, and audio recording facility created in 2008 on the Brainerd campus serve a growing Music Department offering a full range of instrumental and vocal performance opportunities. |

From one-to-one private lessons to ensembles that include both CLC students and members of the multi-generational Central Lakes region, everyone who wants to share in musical expression finds a venue of choice. |

| Fine Arts Facilities |

| The Art Department at CLC provides courses in two- and three-dimensional art, including photography, drawing, watercolor, painting, and ceramics. |
|
The CLC Gallery is dedicated to exhibits by visiting professionals as well as the annual Juried Student Art Show. The Gallery is located across from the Jon Hassler Library in the Fine Arts cluster that includes the music and drama programs at CLC. |
